Work Experience

Companies and Projects I've worked at as a software engineer

    React.js
    React Native
    Next.js
    Redux
    TailwindCSS
    AG Grid
    Axios
    RSuite
    React Router

Clin Street builds software to streamline clinical trial operations across global sites. I worked across multiple web and mobile applications, helping ship impactful features while maintaining a clean, scalable codebase.

    • Led frontend architecture across 6+ products including eTMF and Site CTMS, the document archive and the operations system a trial site runs on, serving clinical trial operations across global sites.
    • Rebuilt legacy codebases by migrating to a modern Vite setup, reducing build times by 80-87% with optimized CI/CD pipelines and updated dependencies.
    • Built and maintained Clin Street's public website using Next.js and TailwindCSS.
    • Engineered participant onboarding workflows and site selection modules, the tools that decide which hospitals and clinics run a given trial.
    • Built a library of 50+ reusable components and custom React hooks, standardizing UI patterns and accelerating feature development across teams.
    • Improved page performance through memoization, lazy loading, and targeted component refactors.
    • Set up and enforced code quality standards using ESLint, Prettier, and TypeScript across all frontend projects.
    • Managed source control with GitHub, and worked in an Agile environment using Asana to manage sprints, track tasks, and coordinate with the team.

    JSP
    WebSockets
    MongoDB
    REST APIs
    Authentication

WhiteboardFox is a collaborative, real-time virtual whiteboard. I joined the core engineering team to enhance the drawing experience, update real-time collaboration features, and strengthen the platform’s overall security.

    • Built REST and WebSocket APIs in Java for real-time collaboration, with server-side session authentication and role checks deciding who can join, draw or observe a board, and an origin allowlist on the CORS responses for cross-site requests.
    • Wrote JUnit tests covering brush physics: Bézier curve accuracy, inkpen pressure and radius interpolation at different speeds, and stroke compression/decompression.
    • Built features including custom brush colors, snapshots for sharing boards during live sessions, a follower system for public boards and creators, and a paginated board lobby backed by MongoDB with email-verification gating and idempotent reporting so a user cannot report the same board twice.

    August 2024 – December 2024

    Node.js
    Firebase Functions
    Firebase Admin SDK
    AWS S3
    Axios
    Gzip Compression
    tiny-async-pool
    htmlparser2

Hacker Herald is a visual twist on Hacker News, enriched with crowdsourced images and subtitles and a clean, fast frontend. I contributed to both the backend pipelines and the HTML/CSS/JS frontend that powers the reader experience.

    • Built and deployed the full static frontend using HTML, JavaScript, and responsive CSS.
    • Developed the backend pipeline for fetching, enriching, and ranking top Hacker News stories using Firebase Functions, Axios, and Node.js.
    • Built a crowdsourced subtitle and image system with voting and fallback logic.
    • Compressed enriched stories into Gzipped JSON payloads and uploaded to AWS S3 for daily and historical access.
    • Handled concurrent story updates with tiny-async-pool to improve throughput while staying within upstream rate limits.

Web App · Events & Ticketing

    Paid Events · 500+ Members

Invite-only events platform. Members request a spot, hosts approve, paid events go through Razorpay checkout, and the ticket arrives by email as a short code scanned at the door. Role-based access and per-event approval gating throughout. Fulfilment runs through one idempotent path shared by the payment webhook and a client confirm route, so a dropped webhook cannot strand a captured payment.
